January 1, 2023 - Complex, mostly tertiary notes, mellow.

August 19, 2022 - Splendid mature bottle of Gattinara! Forest floor, cherries, tobacco and dried flowers. Medium body with good acidity. A lean nebbiolo, but rather that than alcoholic blockbusters from farther south in Piedmont. Drinking very well right now. My last bottle.

April 22, 2020 - Some barnyard, dark berries, spices, black tea; very fresh, long and intense, dusty tannin, some tertiary notes.

November 8, 2013 - Terroir: Il piĆ¹ complesso fino ad ora. Netta nota medicinale, ruggine e ferro, tintura di iodio, pietre al sole, calce. Equilibrato, essenziale, scarno, dritto, buono. Descrive bene la vigna da dove viene.

August 3, 2013 - Ap: Clear ruby red
Ar: Roses, violets, cherries, plums, nicely integrated oak
Medium bodied with great intensity. Extremely lean and defined palate.
    Very good length

Pretty sure this wine has a potential long life. Going to buy a few bottles.

    Tasted together with:
    Rivetto Barolo Giulin 2000
    Cortese Barbaresco Rabaja 2001

Barolo got their ass kicked. Gattinara came out several horse lengths ahead.
