  December 2, 2023 - My final bottle. Disgorged September 2016 and the seven years of post-disgorgement have served it well. On the nose the aromatic profile is complex and complete (flowers, citrus, stone fruit, almond, vanilla, brioche, pepper); the palate was originally very tight but the extra age has softened and polished it, and it is now broad and harmonious, the flavours are rich and spicy; the finish displays excellent length with notes of ripe citrus (bergamot, orange). On top form.

  August 27, 2023 - Dinner with Tom & Deb Mortimer of Le Cadeau (COV, Edina, MN): Light gold plus color. Drank a glass over an hour. This was really even handed, elegance galore, brioche, autolytic, pear, quince butter. The palate shows green orchard fruit, ginger, toast, full body, apple peel, and so much complexity. Really showing well tonight - best bottle by far tp date, and getting close to the level of the '02 in it's prime.

  March 4, 2023 - Disgorgement probably 2016/17..?
  Reductive and stringent style. Citrus, especially lime, bread and lichee fruit on the nose. Slightly creamy mouth with a taste that mimics the nose, supported by the “deep” and powerful acid of the 2008 vintage, which is starting to come around and actually becoming quite pleasant, and lingers on the tongue for quite a while. Balance is starting to form. Few bubbles. Looking forward to trying this again in a few years

  February 6, 2023 - Tasted twice with two years apart. Same note as before but with a bit more maturity. Evident tarty aspirin, with ripe citrus notes, in a delicious and creamy body. Definitely a crowd-pleaser. Feb. 2023
