  November 1, 2009 - Solid and interesting, with a lemonade color in the glass, and an very interesting pineapple and pear nose. Crisp and acidic on palate, almost like a Sauv Blanc, but with classic flavors of pear, apricot and floral notes from the viognier. A bit better with some warmth in the glass, when cold shows a touch of CO2.

  August 12, 2009 - Full-bodied and rich - still fresh after 4 years under screwcap. Good finish and flavors. Stood up well to shrimp sauteed in red pepper and olive oil.

  April 30, 2007 - Rich, straw yellow color -- cloudiness indicative of an unfined/unfiltered wine -- although no note of this on the bottle. Loads of apricot and mineral notes in the bouquet. Fruit well balanced with oak and a nice medium length, steelly finish. One of the better California Rhone blends I have tasted though I suspect this is best drunk young. In other words, I do not think it has the structure, complexity or depth to improve over time. Enjoy it now to fully appreciate the fruit and freshness.
