December 22, 2020 - Consistent with previous note.

Significantly more pleasant and open on day 2.

February 20, 2020 - 2015 Manuel Olivier Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Vieilles Vignes was developing and expressive. The Bourgogne Pinot Noir was clear and pale ruby in colour, with aromatics of sour red cherries, raspberries, cranberries, liqourice and a touch of Worcestershire sauce, indicative of oxidative winemaking like aging in used oak barrels. On the palate, it was dry and medium-bodied, with medium-high level of acidity. Consistent flavours of sour red cherries and liqourice were present in the medium-long finish.
The wine was tasted blind in BIVB-supported Masterclass, and it was voted to be the best red wine of the evening among the participants. The price was reported to be EUR 10.70.

February 11, 2019 - Powerful, young wine. Very good and an elegant with fresh fruit and nicely balanced tannins.

    June 1, 2018 - Nose: Champignons, cherries

Palate: Pommegrenade, cherries, raspberries, old cabinet, pepper, champignons in the finale

Fresh acidity, slightly austere (yet softens with decanting)

April 18, 2018 - Second bottle in 5 days. This time some more details.

On the nose: Red berries (strawberries, raspberries), black pepper

On the palate: Dark berries (most prominently blackberries), black pepper, wood, champignons

Very nicely structured - acidity balances fruit well. Curious as to how this will develop. Obviously still very young at this point.
