June 11, 2021 - Decanted for a couple hours. Big black raspberries with nice spice. At first a tartness at the end. But the more time in the carafe that tartness disappeared. Long finish.

May 2, 2021 - Really lovely though starting to not improve. First hour on PnP this was fantastic. Eucalyptus, currants and hints of raspberry/blackberry, with earth tones and hints of Tabasco. After an hour starting to fade a little. Still good but noticeably a step down from the first hour. Will drink my last one this year! PnP conterno sensory.

November 4, 2017 - Lovely wine. Blackberry, leather, some vanilla from a judicious use of oak, meld into a nice package an hour or two after opening. This wine seemed to change quickly over the course of an hour, getting better, then starting to lose its stuff. A day later it still has some life, though the oak tends to dominate over much else that is left.

April 18, 2016 - Very dark red color. Aromas of raspberry and cassis, dense dark berry fruit with just the perfect amount of acidity to bring out the fruit. Tannins were integrated. A long smooth dark berry finish. Seems to be at a perfect drinking stage now. Terrific match with pan roasted duck breast.

February 15, 2016 - Lovely nose of raspberries, chocolate, and wet earth. Still drinking beautifully. Even a bit tight still. Lovely dark fruits, cherry candy, with some nice earthy tannins that balance out the sweet fruit. There is some nice acid. The finish is long, becoming a bit sharp near the back end. Still a lovely wine, with some years ahead of it, though not clear if it will improve or not. What a great value for $23 back in the day! 90 +
