September 11, 2021 - Night 1 - gooseberry, lemon, lime were subdued by an obvious vanillan/oak character. Night 2 - better, more in balance, the vanilla was less obvious and the fruit more prominent.

June 24, 2021 - Very light straw yellow.

    Grassy, herbaceous, nose.

    Quite yeasty, textural, on entry.

Citrus, lemon pith and white pepper middle.

Quite vegetal and pungent. Strong green Apple skin character.

Some green apple, white peach, lemon rind and pith, pepper and passion fruit through a salty and yeasty finish.

Excellent complexity, intensity and length of flavour here.

Highly drinkable, almost drank a bottle in a sitting. Don’t drink too cold, the detail is hidden.

Drink now to 5 years, will be interesting to watch over time. 92 with upside.

    Day two…

    17 LTC
Much more passionfruit and green beans- Sauvignon- to the fore on night two. This will take some age, agree with previous note. I’m seeing a very similar style to the Lane Vineyard Gathering from the Adelaide Hills, hopefully it will age just as well.

Another First Choice Hampstead Road bargain. I think I’ll be going back there.

February 17, 2019 - Tasty but young , will age nicely but not for too long.Clever combination

July 22, 2018 - From memory a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, with a little touch of Chardonnay (hence the title). Nose is crisp, citrus dominant with some lees characters too. Palate is tight, quite savoury and spicy, with Meyer Lemon, green apple and grapefruit flavours dominating.

December 28, 2017 - Pierro - Cellar Door Tasting (Pierro Vineyard, 4051 Caves Rd, Wilyabrup WA 6280, Australia): Drank at the celar door. Very light white gold. Nose of green melon and herbs. Palate is lots of herbs and tangy citrus acidity. Light on the oak treatment...all new French barrels. Quite heady. Should age well but is very young today. LTC stands for 'little touch of Chardonnay'.
