May 19, 2023 - Whoa. Grab and pour Italian restaurant. I’m still thinking about the plums and spice. Grippy. But so intriguing. And memorable. And weird - good weird.

February 23, 2021 - Med garnet colour. Med intensity nose with sweet cherry, raisin, vanilla, some ripe red fruit and sweet spice. A full body, pronounced intensity with high (fine) tannin. Nice balance. Length is good but uninteresting. It went very well with duck a la orange.

May 10, 2020 - Is there such a thing as a wine being in a gangly teenage phase? If so this is it in a very good way. It’s not balanced. It’s not subtle. What it is, is youthful and delicious. In your face cherries, raging tannins, long finish, lively but not obtrusive acidity. If this is interesting to you, I recommend it.

April 27, 2020 - This is one of the most irresistibly delicious wines I've tasted in quite a while. I love the core flavors of dried black cherries and prunes, which are accented with surprisingly intense black pepper (stronger than I can ever remember tasting in syrah) and less intense tobacco. I don't have any experience with aging Amarone, but surely there is no harm in drinking this now.

    February 22, 2020 - A; deep garnet
N: Medium (+) intensity. dried black cherry, blackberry (dried), dried mint, dried eucalyptus, pine resin, dried orange rind, chocolate, earth, wet leaf [meat]
P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) ripe tannin [high ripe tannin - instructor], high alcohol, full body, Medium (+) intensity [pronounced intensity] and long finish
Judicious elegant use of oak here with the acid and RS in equilibrium and the high alcohol is well integrated. The length and intensity are excellent and the wine presents some complexity with over 5 descriptor clusters. Outstanding quality

January 19, 2020 - This is still young but enjoyable to drink now. I get hints of dark fruits, prune maybe, with a hint of tabacco and pepper on the finish. Medium to heavy bodied, with a mouth coating of soft yummy fruit.
