  December 27, 2011 - Another great expression of classic chardonnay from Doug. This beautiful wine has aromas of citrus and pear with a fantastic brightness that I associate with only a stainless chardonnay! Upon tasting you are greeted by wonderfully clean fruit with just a sensation of oak, thanks to the older oak barrels that he uses. So easy to drink! Fantastic.

  May 26, 2011 - In honor of international #chardonnay day we opened a bottle of Doug's outstanding 2005 Willamette Valley Chardonnay. It's a joy to open a bottle that can easily stand up to a good white burgundy. We loved how the wine opened up and changed in the glass. Upon opening it was a bit closed and herbal -- but with some air it really exploded and keeps getting better. Looking forward to seeing how it performs tomorrow. A nice frame of acidity, notes of asian pear and ginger. Outstanding Oregon Chardonnay.

  October 19, 2008 - The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Joe's): Tasted double blind. Notes of apple, almond, and pear with a waxy undertone. Medium to full bodied, with apple and marzipan flavors, with a nice minerally finish.

  May 31, 2008 - Clear, pale gold color. Creamy lemons and limes dominate the nose, along with a few old oak notes. On the palate, a smoky and earthy character harmonizes nicely with the citrus. Excellent mouth-feel and acid balance. Great finish.
