May 12, 2011 - Strong bitter, no harsh tannins this time, just over extraction. I was hoping this one would smooth out, but it seems to be a crappy cheap wine sold as premium.

March 21, 2011 - Dark ruby, cherries, bacon. Very dry and astringent, bold and harsh on PnP. 2nd night, getting better, but still needs more air time, slight bitter almonds and tannins, weak fruit. Wife says tastes like cough syrup.

June 8, 2010 - Dark ruby, weak nose. Dry fruity, medium body, ripe cherry, tannic, slight bitterness on the start, bell pepper finish. The initial hot finish diminishes to a fruity tannic finish. Needs some more age.

October 24, 2009 - 84pts to start, dark inky purple, weak nose, weak fruit, a bit raw, over extracted with weak finish. Gets better with open time, 88pts, fruit begins to show with longer smoother finish. Definitely needs to breathe, it opens up, becomes more complex with longer finish. Another day to breathe in the bottle improved the wine, needs more bottle age.
