April 22, 2017 - Medium light red. Very tight but concentrated nose. Earthy cherry, mineral and a tiny hint of tar. Delicious dry red cherry and balsam flavors and a very, very tannic finish.

    Needs at least a decade.

June 14, 2016 - Not ready yet. Wait 3-4 years. Potentially not a star, but very good

November 2, 2015 - A little tight today, but you can tell this is another classic Barolo from Settimo, just waiting to unfurl. The nose reveals aromatics of tar, twigs, dusty attic, dry soil, a good amount of mostly red fruit and mixed light spices. The palate is a massive wall of searing tannin with high acid. Unfortunately there is some elevated alcohol noted and the finish is a tad clipped.

September 29, 2015 - Medium-to-high aromatics featuring lovely exotic flower, red cherry and some earthy notes which echo very nicely on the full-bodied palate. It has mouth-watering acids and some heat on the palate but is balanced well by fruit concentration and tannic structure. Excellent length on the finish. Drinking well now but should be better in 3-4 years and drink easily over the next 12 years.
