May 10, 2022 - I tend to like this producer - classic old world style. This had that old world charm, sense of place, along with lively acidity. Like most Brunellos, this will benefit from more time - 17 years is my rule of thumb for Brunellos.

April 20, 2022 - Light to medium ruby in appearance.

Super impressive nose of black fruits, spice , balsamic and herbal notes. The nose seems to be fully evolved, but is not in any way tired.

Medium plus body with plenty of acidity and tannic structure. Lots of flavor concentration with a a medium plus to long savory finish.

Overall very well done and textbook Brunello. This will cruise in the cellar for another decade for sure.

March 5, 2022 - Gorgeous text book Brunello.

Drink now or hold for another decade.

February 20, 2022 - My first Brunello. Now I get the hype, and liked this a little more than the community. Must decant - 30 min works, 90 minutes much better - wine definitely evolved over two hours. Nose started with faint dark fruit and a little tobacco. Opened big at 30 minute mark - lots of fruit and distinct cola notes. (That’s a first for me in wine). Dark fruit, some herbs and cedar at 90 minutes. Palate similar - dark fruit, licorice with a little chalky tannins to start, opening to blueberry, blackberry and cola at 30 minutes. Lots of cherry later and even more dark fruit at 90 minutes. Tannins really softened. Long, juicy finish.
