  April 25, 2024 - Nose: cedar, black pepper, violet, leather
  Notes: this is drinking like a very age appropriate Bordeaux that is complex and full of depth. Quite a smooth wine and I've enjoyed this. I've always liked the wines from Diamond Creek and this is drinking quite nicely now.

  February 17, 2018 - Black cherry and boysenberry with some red fruits and Oak. A very solid 2000 from Napa. This bottle had another 3-4 years of peak tasting.

  July 23, 2015 - Much better than expected from a 2000. Plenty of black fruits that are consistent with Diamond Creek of the 80s and early 90s - leaning toward old world Bordeaux style. Nice elements of sweet Oak, hard leather and whiffs of smoke.

  May 17, 2015 - At its peak with very nice secondary flavor profile. Aromatic, spicy and balanced. Has12% alcohol and yet it is full bodied, very firm and structured. Long finish. Tons of sediment in the bottle. Considering the vintage they did an amazing job.

  April 5, 2015 - Really solid CA cab. Still very focused and tight. Glad I drank this, but it still could age and improve for a number of years. Dark black fruit. Some lead pencil.
