November 27, 2010 - Drank at thanksgiving dessert. Mild sweet custard flavor.

M: not enough sweetness, more of a so-so white wine with sugar

    Easy drink.

January 31, 2007 - Typically ice wines suffer from too much cloying sweetness and not enough acidity to balance, not so for this wine, it has the opposite problem. There's a nice core of acidity, but not enough mass or sweetness to cover it. Certainly there's none of the syrupy thickness that seems to define ice wines. Sold as a late harvest semillon it might be less disappointing, but it's still nothing special. The flavors are rather simple (apple) and the finish a bit short. I was hoping for more from this wine...
