November 1, 2021 - I liked this wine better this time round. It is a modern and concentrated Blaufränkisch with very dark fruit, lots of dark chocolate flavors, not quite as fruit-forward as the Kirnbauer Gold 2015 we had alongside. Tannins are slightly grippier in this wine. It does not offer any of the crisp fruit of more mineral Blaufränkisch wines, but if you are looking for a an international interpretation this is a very good choice with good qpr. - 90 points

December 3, 2020 - Extremely dark and concentrated (strong saingée?), modern style, lots of licorice flavors, quite a bit of sweet oak with coconut and chocolate flavors, blackberries, soft tannins, some unbalanced acidity, a nice modern style wine, but does not taste like a typical Blaufränkisch in this vintage. Still good quality, but I've had better vintages of this wine. - 89 points
