    November 12, 2023 - A delicious wine well balanced

March 5, 2023 - Ok, only a month has past since the last note....so nothing different. I will definitely hold my last bottle for another 1-2 years to check my drink window. However, this wine is, in my opinion, reached a level that will be hard to top in the future. If you have multi bottles space them out, if not go ahead and enjoy this wine.

January 15, 2023 - Aromas of plum, blackberries and forest. Flavors of blackberries with cassis and a slight minerality. Acidity was very well balanced with tannins well under control. A long lasting smooth finish help place this wine in a 90+ score. However, the drink window on this wine is closing, so I would consume this vintage within the next two (2) years.

February 6, 2022 - Initial taste had the wine showing soft, so I decanted about three glasses worth to compare if this helped the wine add weight. Not sure that it made much difference.

Three hours after opening this is still a fruit driven wine which I wish I had more depth or structure. Nonetheless it’s an excellent Cab Franc that’d pair well with a broad array of foods, though I’d stay away from red meat.

No green or vegetal characteristics, just lots of dark red and ripe black fruits. Think black plums, sweet watery blackberries. This is our final bottle, and is a bit past prime for our preference. Purchased and a sherpa’d home from the winery upon release, I have to wonder if there was some transit issues (cork is pristine) as this is a short life for CS in my experience

January 29, 2022 - The first C&S CF I've ever had was probably 5-6 vintages before this one and I remember thinking these were special. Wildflower and black cherry crush on the nose and entry. Darker red fruit backvone. This one develops a lot of baking chocolate and some roasted fig to the middle and finish and seems to finish a lot darker than it starts. Great fruit balance. I've got one of these later vintages in Magnum and really think the best place for that one is definitely on its side for the next 5-10 years. This 15 out of the gate was doing really well.
