October 25, 2023 - Semi-transparent medium cherry color, some earthiness and a hint of cinnamon on the nose, on the palate it has a slightly watered down taste if that description makes sense

October 15, 2023 - Wont get any better than now, so drink up if you have any. Its still a mouthful of cherries, dried fruit and a touch of cinnamon. Complex from bouquet through a long finish. Appellation wine at its best. One problem...WS absolutely corks too tightly. My wines are stored in a pristine manner, but no matter what type of device I use, from a professional screw pull to a bootleggers pull almost all WS wines suffer from a broken cork upon extraction.

August 26, 2023 - Sweet singing Sonoma Cty pinot--drinks much plusher than its 13.8 ABV. Elegant balance of dark cheery to raspberry fruit, spice, whiff of pine.

November 6, 2022 - Fantastic Pinot. Amazing value for what this has become after 6 years of aging

Smooth velvety tannins with wonderful cherry and medium body.

Enjoyed with truffled steak tartare and chateaubriand with a mushroom sauce. Delicious all around - enjoy earthy notes along with the fruits to pair well throughout.

October 21, 2021 - From my posting on Instagram:

In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; [people speak the truth when they are drunk]), another 2 bottles of my cellar sacrifices. A pair of 2016 Williams Selyem pinots from Sonoma county. Quick background- If a grower with an abundance of fruit hadn’t given Burt Williams a few tons of free grapes in the 1970s, Burt might never have discovered his love and flair for winemaking. And if Burt and his partner Ed Selyem had been able to afford the French Burgundies they both favored, they might never have tried making their own Pinot Noir. Anyway, these 2 bottles were very easy drinking by themselves, but we had them for a game party and they turned out to be a good match, as expected.πŸ˜€πŸ·πŸ·πŸ·πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ #wine #winelover #winelovers #redblend #redblendwine #napawine #napa #napavalley #williamselyem #williamselyemwines #williamselyemwinery #pinot #pinotnoir #sonoma #sonomapinot
