Community Tasting Notes 3

April 23, 2018 - Day 2 - aired bottle half full. Leather and plum nose. Strawberry and smoke prominent with notes of plum, vanilla, leather and mineral. Strawberry and caramel finish. Sugar is still disconnected from the light body with weak acid and tannins. In spite of that flaw this dirt cheap wine is not a one note song.

April 21, 2018 - Cassis nose. Smoke and dark fruit prominent followed by raisiny sweetness with notes of mineral and oak. Pinot fans will like this wine, but the light body seems disconnected from the sweetness, perhaps due to the lack of acidity. Low acid also contributes to the silky mineral mouthfeel.

February 27, 2018 - Tastes like a watered down red blend. "There’s not much depth beyond that. It could use a little more acidity to offset the sweetness"
