March 21, 2024 - Gorgeous wine. Red fruit and powdery florals. Has some ripe strawberry notes but has excellent structure, acidity, and chalky earth feel that keeps it more burgundian in style.
I'm usually not a big fan of California pinot but this was phenomenal. -

July 9, 2021 - Tasted next to the ‘17 Peay Scallop Shelf Estate. This edges out the Peay solely based on the pleasure factor. While the Occidental is not my preferred style of Pinot, it is a fruit bomb and fully open for business right now. Strawberry jam, black cherry, and creamy goodness with a touch of sweetness on the finish.

June 10, 2021 - Decanted for 60m. Really beautiful wine drinking perfectly. On the nose lots of red fruit with some spice and some graphite notes. On palate, lots of brightly cherry and raspberry notes - honestly a little bit one-note but so delicious. Drink now.
