September 28, 2021 - Outstanding pinot. Had with salmon. Wonderful floral and berry nose. Clear dark ruby color. Crisp and smooth, full bodied yet elegant, loaded with cherries, dark berries, cola, spices and herbs. Great balance and just delightful to drink on it's own or with food. Wish I had more as I think it will continue to develop more depth. Drink or hold.

May 4, 2021 - Jed Dunnuck is a big fan of this wine (94) and I can see how it is extremely well crafted and a labor of love and precision; BUT, I just found it too tightly wound and ungenerous. Lovely nose with caramel and cranberry, but a disappointing follow up and bitter finish. No relief on 2nd night. Perhaps its still to early for this... Moving on to something else.

August 16, 2018 - Sanford Cellar Visit and Tasting (Lompoc, CA): Popped-and-poured at Sanford. From a single block in Rinconada Vineyard of Clone 667 vines. Starts with plenty of rich, dense fruit, then seemingly slightly backward or hollow in the middle. Good substance here, but less clarity in its potential vs some others in the lineup.
