September 22, 2011 - On opening, it clearly needs some air. Opens up with bits of prune and earth. Has a slightly oxidized flavour, but in a good way. Probably slightly past its prime, but still drinking quite nicely. Would go wonderfully with food as well.

April 17, 2003 - This estate is a St. Emilion Grand Cru. I purchased this bottle recently for a heavily discounted $7. It is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. 3300 cases were made of this wine. Another 1100 cases worth of the estates second wine is sold off in bulk. The vines average 30 years in age. The wine is bottle unfiltered. This was a nice pleasant everyday drinking bordeaux but not worth much more than the price I paid. It was a dark red color and light to medium bodied. it is really made for early consumtion and should not be aged more than 10 years I would guess. It had smokey notes with cassis and dark fruit. Not too deep with some slight bitterness on the finish. 84-85 points.
