May 11, 2024 - Translucent ruddy red. After 30 minute decant, a gorgeous nose of roses, watermelon, bubble gum and menthol. Medium body, with plush deep tannins and just a perfectly balanced acidity. Still young and drinking beautifully at the moment. I expect a few more years before tertiary flavours develop. Drink over next 10 years. Give this at least 2 hour decant next time.

March 10, 2023 - Brilliant, fully singing now. There is good information in all previous tasting notes but now this wine has come fully into maturity. Given optimal storage it wouldn't surprise me if it keeps 10 or more years.

Fruit forward now, quickly leading to powerful acidity and oh those tannins !! This wine needs food.

July 8, 2021 - Hard to say, don’t touch this until summer of 2023. There is a lot going on here, but it needs to settle down. After 3 hours of decant, it really opens up nicely. Ruddy red in colour, some viscosity but looks like. Nose is roses, vanilla, orange, all over the place and all good. Tastes red fruit, woody and orange peel and floral. Heavy on tannins but very fine, brique rather than chewy. Tried again at 5 hours and getting better. Will try again in 2023.

July 7, 2021 - Blind tasting of Nebbiolo and Sangiovese (Piemonte and Tuscany) (Home): Tasted blind against 5 other Nebbiolo and Sangiovese btls. from Piemonte and Tuscany. Savoury with aromas of tobacco, tar, acetone, rose. As expected high acidity and extremely high tannins but only a M- finish. One of the best wines in this tasting.

January 10, 2021 - Checking in here 8 months after my last bottle and this is definitely moving in the right direction. I let if breathe for 3 hours before touching it and was happy with that decision; this wasn't that shy, and still very floral and full of sweet red fruit, smoke, cinnamon, and cherry liqueur. Will continue to get better in bottle, going to check in again on this in 2022.
