Community Tasting Notes 29

January 18, 2022 - Wonderfully bright, high pitch sour cherry swarms from the glass with dusty, minerally and ever so slightly herbaceous notes. Markedly pure and unadulterated. On the palate medium-bodied and on the lean side with great tension and grip. Very much acid-driven but not austere. Very youthful and structured but with confit de canard just full of joy and pleasure with immense drinkability. Really excellent rendition of this wine and, as always, a textbook example of traditional Sangiovese.

November 28, 2021 - Decanted. Now 3h after decant. Aromas of red cherries and raspberries with slightly candied notes, spices, herbs, and a hint of earth. Palate w earthy, ripe cherries and strawberries with a candied aspect, bark, herbs and spices. Medium tannins on midpalate. Nice acids on a med-full body. Silky texture. Nice moderately long finish w moderate tannic pucker. Nicely done.

August 25, 2021 - Returned my whole case (also of 2013 and 2015) because they were not filtered correctly/fully. Very unfortunate because was looking forward to them.

August 23, 2021 - I expected just a bit more from this bottle. Medium intense acidity and ripe fruits. But I think it would have worked better if this would have sticked to just Sangiovese. Now the balance isn't completely there with some bitter touches at the end of the middle part.

August 9, 2021 - 1 hr decant, while rich and flavorful it was lacking a bit of acid to make this more interesting. As it was, kinda boring
