    March 10, 2024 - Was in a bad drinking window! Really acidic! Was not drinkable on the first day so we drank it the second day! I will wait ar least 3 years before drinking another one

    March 9, 2024 - Poured from Coravin. I've had these for a while and they are getting nice. Tasting using WSET system:

    Appearance: medium garnet
    Aromas: moderate aromaticity, red cherry, black licorice, touch of vanilla, tar, black cherry, rose, frangipane, leather, tobacco, seems like it's developing but has some tertiary flavor
    Palate: dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium alcohol, medium body
    Flavors: mirrors nose, more tar, more cherry; medium intensity; medium- finish
    Balance - good - 1
    Length - fine but not long - 0
    Intensity - good, 1/2
    Complexity - good, 1/2
    Total 2 = good

    That said, I like this wine a lot! Really enjoyable, has some tertiary flavors that are coming in nicely, and the price was right.

    January 12, 2024 - Bit muted/flat/tart upon opening. Opened up beatifully after about three hours (in bottle without cork, not decanted). Cherry and cassis, leather, raisin, pepper, a bit of cola. Long finish with velvety tannin. 89/90 upon opening, 92/93+ after a few hours. This should be good for a solid 3-5 more years.

    December 27, 2023 - Last two bottles, very similar to my prior note. Tart cherry, fruit, leather, soil. Was best with an hour+ of air. Good example of lighter side of Brunello, matched well with pizza and enjoyed by all.
