June 2, 2010 - Still young with big, unexpected bold earthy aromas. The mid palate is meaty and robust with a medium toasty blanket of tobacco and coffee tones, followed by a slightly hidden yet rich cherry finish. Surprisingly, after 1 hour in a decanter it still needs time to burn off the freshly opened bottle "funk". Next time we open this wine, we will wait longer to enjoy from the decanter and pair it with a nice grilled pork loin!

June 17, 2009 - Extremely light, with a bit of pepper and barn yard funk; this may be coming to the end of its run

November 14, 2008 - Lots of pepper on the nose and palate - so much so that I never tasted the fruit.

November 24, 2006 - A nice bottle of Gamay. The family thought it a perfect match of our big Thanksgiving dinner. Not a great bottle, but it did the job well. Bravo, Doug.
