January 29, 2021 - Really delightful, wouldn’t have guessed it’s a Chardonnay. Very citrusy, fairly bright. Easy drinking.

August 27, 2019 - Matrot's 2016 Bourgogne Blanc was fermented in oak barrels (approximately 20% new) and aged for approximately 11 months on its lees. Now light-to-medium golden in color, it delivers a core of orange zest, melon, lemon verbena, honey and wet stones, accented with a dollop of oak-infused vanilla. Light-to-medium-bodied, fresh and with seamless alcohol (listed as 12.5%), it stays solid on the mid-palate and closes with a saline-laden finish that is medium in length. This has picked up weight and complexity during the past year, and is very impressive for a basic white Bourgogne. Drink now-2022.

March 11, 2019 - -From .375. Citrus (lemon, slight peach), floral, minerality, salinity, slight vanilla. Good acidity. Lingering finish.

February 21, 2019 - a very nice entry level white Burg. Bought at the domaine with a number of their other higher-end wines, and this looks promising. New world, forward, almost effervescent, but with good "stuffing."

February 12, 2019 - Cellarhand 20th Anniversary Tour 2019 V2 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Bacon fat, muted lemon over peach, slightly spicy. Juicy acidity on the palate, lees weight on the md palate. Fruit a little more diminished here. Hmm.

November 19, 2018 - Fermented in oak barrels (approximately 20% new) and aged for approximately 11 months on its lees, Matrot's Bourgogne Blanc is a solid offering. Light yellow in color, it delivers aromas and flavors of tangerine, lemon verbena, wet stones and subtle vanilla. Light-bodied, crisply acidic and without detectable alcohol (listed as 12.5%), it has good mid-palate presence and concludes with a medium-length, saline-laden finish. This delicious Chardonnay should be at its best over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2022.

October 18, 2018 - Very good and also good value. Slight hint of oak, high acid, citrus notes, pineapple, peach, some minerality and saline. Crisp and cleansing.
