Medium minus intensity earthy aromas, savoury notes, very slight kerosene. Softly juicy; wonderful acid line, really lovely mouthfeel persists long. More bout structure than fruit but lovely.

Pear and pear skin, a little green almond, savoury, slightly bitter pear skin and pear with a touch of crushed almond. Fresh. Nice.

A slightly riper version of the Pinot Blanc - some melon joins the pear and a little creamy richness underpins this. In the mouth though it's bitter, a little flabby and alcoholically warm to the detriment of the other characteristics. Meh

Crikey! Ripe, rich, more peach apples stone fruit, bees was, lees, cream. It feels like there is a little residual sugar to offset the acidity. Balance is near perfect. Lovely.

Medium minus intensity aromas offer a little green citrus, mineral. But this is more interesting on the palate; juicy, fleshy, dense and textured. The fruit takes a back seat to the structure but none the worse for that. Okay.

sulphur (a theme on these off dry wines), and, oddly, a little kerosene. Not much else on the nose. Palate has cream, ripe apple and far less kerosene. Hmm

Sour cherry, cream, stalks, earthy spices. Juicy, spicy, sour cherry. Does what it says on the tin but not for me.

Crema, red cherry, sweet spice, slightly jubey. Juicy, spiced cherry, tannic grip is quite drying. Rather nice but a little alcoholically warm which is a little off putting.

slightly herbaceous - perhaps some whole bunch? Married to ripe cherry with a liquorice underpin and dried flowers. More of the same on the palate with a gentle tongue coating burr. Again a little alcohol warmth though this time less intrusive

Again whole bunch, savoury, rich, ripe cherry, earthy. Juicy, savoury, peppery spice, more of the same on the palate with some tannic burr. Quite lovely.

Pretty cherry, slightly earthy, spiced, cedar, cream, slightly bitter on the palate with drying tannins. Time required as the fruit is peaking out beneath this.

Richly spiced, ripe, plenty of oak straying to black fruit. Palate is a reflection of the nose, rich, softly tannic. Good but time.

Richly spiced, oak, blackberry over red cherry, cream, lees, coffee, slightly stalky. The palate is a reflection of the nose. Lovely long tannins persist with the fruit. Really very good.

Pencil shavings, red berry fruit, spice, cream. Juicy, savoury, wet, burred tannins, lacks fruit on the palate. Perhaps time?

Pencil shavings hand in hand with spiced red berry and oak, there is s slightly metallic note here as well. Dense, savoury, tight needs time, more pencil shavings, cedar, muted savoury red fruit, tight. Yup, time required

ripe cherry, a little cream and wet clay, savoury. Juicy and equally savoury on the palate, cherry, tannins are silky soft but persistent. Simple, nice.

Gamey, funky, stalks, leather, savoury, black fruits. Less savoury on the palate, more fruit driven, soft tannic burr which is chamois leather soft. Hmm.

Meaty, savoury blackcurrant and blackberry. Quite sharp on the palate, juicy acidity, black fruit, again tannins are softly textured. Hmm.

Ripe black hued fruit, cedar, quite Bordeaux nose, spice; very spicy in fact. On the palate it's juicy, fleshy with black hued fruit and plenty of drying tannins. Young but nice.

Masses of black fruit, cedar, spice, smells dense and rich. More of the same on the palate with a slightly sour acidity and wonderfully dense, ripe tannins. beautifully balanced. Lovely

slight cherry, plums, pot pourri and some alcohol spice. On the palate it's got massive drying tannins and juicy acidity with liquorice joining the flavours of the aromas of the nose. Not massively long but pretty good. I feel the word typicity tugging at my sleeve.

cedar, a little ripe red cherry backed by plenty of dry flowers, a little cream and spice. Juicy acidity with massive tannins but this is more out of joint than the albeit cheaper Langhe Nebbiolo. Hmm.

Something Bretty and gamey married to (surprisingly) sweaty Ribena backed by meat in a cream sauce. Huge tannins dominate with, arguably, a lack of acidity. Meh
