The nose was solid; took a bit to open, but did eventually show some nice red fruits and spice along with some floral and mineral hints. The palate was a bit tight and felt rustic with the tannins a bit dominant. Don't get me wrong it was plenty enjoyable and maybe I've just caught it at an awkward moment, but it was no where near the level of the '14 Drouhin Petits Mont I recently had. I guess that explains the price difference.... will hold for several years and see if it develops more.
