September 5, 2022 - This is almost really good wine but the acidity is breaking up.
Natty. Fruit forward. Cab franc aromas are understated.
Acid is a really obviously high toned on the nose. Like. It smells good but also a little flawed.
Palate reinforces nose but the wine is quite enjoyable. Long, red fruited finish and bright acidity w a lingering VA issue -

April 7, 2019 - Opened this for an Italian restaurant dinner with no prior information. Must say, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on ... cab franc from the Maremma and all.
A little research tells me that at least a couple pro reviewers have really taken to this, 93 from WS and 92 from Vinous.
References to powerful, floral, dense, tannic abound. Drink window is stated as 2020-2026, interesting, might have to sock a couple away and test that out.
This is a high acid wine and it went very well with my meal. Medium bodied and there is definitely a lot going on, pungent and unusual. Flavors coat the palate and then linger. A bit of sludge at the bottom indicates ... a lot of wine!
To me it was a bit disorienting until I read up on it a bit, then it made sense. Cab Franc planted in 1960, they had a vision!
Elisabetta Foradori, I keep seeing her name in the wine world and she seems to be involved in some very interesting and tasty projects. -

March 24, 2019 - tried 2 different bottles, 2nd one was better and good after a day or two open - super fruit forward, medium-bodied, tasty

March 9, 2019 - Awesome tuscan showcasing Cab Franc and Sangiovese the natural way. Dark fruits, black cherries and plums, incredibly well balanced through aromatic herbs and light wood notes, minerality. Medium-long finish. Great complexity. Full bodied. Great QP! Will buy more.
