January 17, 2020 - Clear medium ruby with colored legs; clean medium nose of cassis, green pepper, eucalyptus, red cherries, soil and cedar; dry; medium plus acidity; medium tannins; high alcohol; medium body; medium flavor intensity; palate dominated by sour red cherry and not as interesting as nose; medium plus finish; very good quality; feels a little thin and one dimensional on mouth - disappointing for price point

October 15, 2019 - When I first opened and tried this, the bouquet was of dense dark fruit, vegetation and oak, with the palate following suit. However it lacked a bit of power, and felt restrained. And that is even though it is a Margaret River cab, which have a tendency to have a bit more oomph behind them.

However, whe I tried the remainder of the bottle three days later, it had opened up, was more fruit forward, the tannins, acidity and forest floor/vegetation flavors came to the fore. This felt more like a Margaret River cab which I had tasted before. Will be buying a few more to out away for the next 5 years.

May 11, 2019 - Dense color. A touch sweet, but good fruit. Drinks okay now with food, may improve.

January 28, 2019 - Drank this alongside a Grace Farm Cabernet (which was fantastic) of the same price $35-40 and vintage and it didn’t compare. This mid-tier offering from Leeuwin was disappointing and lacked fruit concentration and was overwhelmed by oak.

Not great value for money but okay all the same.
