Community Tasting Notes 4

January 19, 2024 - 1/6, good cork, decanted then served.
Pale/medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose is lightly floral, red cherry, spice. Quite complex, touch of sweetness but not OTT. Medium bodied, florally red fruit, touch of spice, really fine tannins, elegant yet with decent weight, good length harmonious finish. This is excellent, and drinking well.

October 21, 2023 - Nose: stinky on opening. Shy after that. My association is tiramisu and Coca-Cola mixed with mountain spring water.
Palate: much more full on, but follows nose rather well. Nice tannic tug and acid hang. If there was some red fruit peaking out amidst the more blurry sensations i would be raving. Still, feels like an authentic Barolo tap. 91/92.

November 23, 2018 - Aroma: soil and blueberries. Leather, dried flowers, cured meat.
Palate: spicy plum and cherry with juicy acidity. Some richness and heft. Meaty and leathery notes. Good structure and balance.

September 20, 2018 - The nose was dark, showing mineral-infused raspberry, hints of licorice, menthol, black tea, moist earth, leather, and smoke. On the palate, I found soft textures, with lean, slightly advanced red fruits, hints of herbs and spice. The finish was medium-long with lingering dark red fruits and slightly drying tannin. As much as I loved the bouquet on the Gramolere, I found the mid-palate lacking substance.
