March 17, 2024 - Really nice. I feel like this wine has just entered its drinking window, but will improve further. Very aromatic. Orangepeel, lemon, bright red fruit perfume, mint, menthol, leather. Some form of conditioner or shampoo, but in a nice way.
Medium weight, tart red fruit on the palate
Can age but drinking well at the moment too.

May 4, 2021 - Didn’t take full notes but this was a beautiful bottle. Drank over 2 days and noticeably gained weight and structure on the 2nd day. Quite a different experience vs. the first bottle and first day. Wow - this is perhaps even better than I thought.

February 5, 2021 - Popped and poured for this note but will revisit. Classic nose of truffle, engine oil, iron, beef jerky, dark cherry. Wow - this is drinking really well already. A very impressive sense of weight through the palate and impeccable balance through to long finish. This lacks some complexity and you can sense this doesn’t have the structure for the long haul but that’s not a bad thing.

November 14, 2020 - Flowers and incense in the nose. Palate also full of floral notes, spices, minerals, purity. Very elegant tannins. Acidity and firm tannins. Concentrated but balanced. Incredible wine.

December 9, 2018 - A very pretty young Barolo, traditionally made, with wonderful transparency. Med red. Beautiful aromatics, with strawberries and plums, a lovely touch of sourness, something a bit syrupy or port-like too, though without any loss of freshness. It's immediately accessible on the palate, with the fruit underpinned by liqourice and tar. The flavours fill the mouth, and there's a light dusting of tannins, but also great freshness. Long dreamy finish. Not sure what sort of drinking window this will have, but it is delicious now.
