February 14, 2023 - I love older sparkling rose, including this 20-ish y.o. example. Slightly creamy strawberry and orange goes on and on and on. Very slight cork pop, minimal mousse when poured, and just tiny bubbles clinging to the glass, but still plenty of shared Valentine's Day burps over the 90 minutes it took my wife and I to finish this one.

This wine performs below the level that any champagne should. Overall, high acid, little fruit, little minerality. Other than the high acid, it is relatively easy drinking, and nothing seriously wrong with it. It fails to deliver at champagne quality, and based on the taste I would not guess this as a rose. This is the 2nd time I bought Mumm champagne because it was being discounted ($30 this time) and was dissapointed despite the low price. -
