Community Tasting Notes 2

April 19, 2020 - Another soft and accessible red from the Alpujarra. With years behind it, it looks like a malbec despite lacking this grape: oriental spices, almost hottie and with those notes of blond tobacco and powdery red fruit. On the palate it is still fresh but certainly tired. It retains length and some acidity. Curious to come from lovers of natural wines. I do not know if this winery is still open or the hotel that supported it, but it would be interesting to taste younger wines.

June 14, 2019 - 2006 was dark, strong and powerful without being clumsy, as the elevation (1368 m) gives a clean cool sensation. 2010 is lighter in color and sensation. A hint of Bret in the nose. Juicy, easy drinkable. Quite nice although different from 2006. I tastes like more like Garnacha wine. Still balanced and fine.
If this is the newer style, then I think they leave something special for a style where there is much more competition...
