  Still a beauty, but probably a bit past peak. No real tertiary development to note, but it has lost a bit of its verve and after about an hour of air did seem to clip a bit. Still lovely. Red fruits, bramble, some liquorish in the nose, background minerality, sweet crushed herbs.
  
  I chose this for a dish that could have more easily paired with a variety of white wines and this worked really well. Even though this doesn't lack for flavor and intensity it married nicely with a sardine pasta dish that includes anchovy dissolved into sautéed onions, raisins, pine nuts and saffron along with toasted breadcrumbs and crushed toasted fennel. Really nice.

  January 13, 2023 - Needed air to open up a bit. Still quite a wet woody nose, some liquorice, red fruits, roses. A bit thight body. Think I liked it more last time I tried it.

  July 12, 2022 - A nasty cork taint covers most of the pretty red fruit and mineral notes. Ahhhh, such a shame! But this bottle also seemed quite evolved.
