April 28, 2024 - Pop and pour. Absolutely gorgeous right now. On the nose: honeyed tangerine, lemon, soft vanilla, a touch of marzipan. On the palate: fantastic acidity, meyer lemon, candied kumquat, lovely density, long finish showing tangy citrus and soft spice.

September 12, 2020 - Wow. This btl showed spectacularly. Pop and pour, maybe 45 min slow ox. On the nose: this screams Chassagne (my wife said she felt transported back to Burgundy): soft chalk, limestone, ripe apple, lemon, slate...just amazing complexity. On the palate: fantastic acidity, lemon oil, tangerine, lemon custard, ginger, slate, limestone, salt...a plethora of flavors. Just lingers on the palate...so well put-together.

January 12, 2019 - light golden slate color. Nose waxy, lemon. Palate cool and lithe mouthfeel, lemon cream flavor, light citrus pith on finish. Still drinking well on day 2, with some more generous lemony fruit and minerals. Young but good potential I think. 91 pts with upside.

October 10, 2018 - Pop and pour. Needs time to unwind, but there is good material to work with. On the nose, intense lemon oil, mineral oil, and a serious dollop of oak, though it is nothing the fruit can't handle. On the palate, the concentration is amazing with pure lemon oil, lemon curd, a touch of oak spice...glorious acidity followed by nice texture and great minerality. Just a lovely young white burg, but as this unwinds it seems likely to improve.

Day 3: wow, so good. The nervous energy has settled a bit and this is excellent..
