December 23, 2023 - Really good wine. Still in the early stages of its drinking window. This was more clean dark fruits, no earth or barnyard. A bit of a new world in terms of fruit profile, but with the structure and acidity of the old world.

September 29, 2023 - Condrieu and Cote Rotie; 9/28/2023-10/28/2023 (Must and Lees, N1): Dark red. Reduction that never quite leaves, but nonetheless smooth and sumptuous, and drinking really well. Lovely smoky autumn fruit profile, you can see how Cote-Rotie gets compared to Burgundy. Most enjoyable, we're really getting into it by this stage and there was so little between so many of these wines this evening.

September 28, 2023 - TWS North London; Cote Rotie and Condrieu at Must & Lees (Must & Lees, N1): Meatiness on the nose. Lovely soft and very resolved red fruited/cool climate syrah, but a little bit short. That nose is brilliant though and super savoury/carnivorous.

September 28, 2023 - Condrieus and Côte-Rôties of North London (Must & Lees): Meaty and a bit reduced on the nose, then increasingly floral. Concentrated, bitter dark fruit on the palate, and relatively subtle tannin. Nothing to complain about, save for anonymity.

September 28, 2023 - Condrieu and Cote Rotie (Must & Lees, N1): Smoky, crackling bonfire notes, sweet red and blue fruit, spice. A quiet sense of richness and balance. Not enormously distinctive but very appealing all the same.
