March 24, 2020 - Saw the influx of scores so I decided to pop open a 375mL. Let sit for 1 hour, and wow it was singing. Absolutely beautiful.

The wine was incredibly balanced already, without being in your face. Red plum, black cherry, honey, cedar, baking spices - the aromas were phenomenal and the tannins were smooth and silky. I also got a unique sweetness (honey, brown sugar) into the lengthy finish. Definitely the best wine I’ve had so far this year, and a noteworthy contender for my WOTY.

March 20, 2020 - A perfect wine. Weightless, seamless, plum, prune, fig, blackberry, roasted coffee, cocoa, fennel and anise. Bliss

February 8, 2020 - This .375 was purchased on release and stored in my home cellar at 52. Poured a taste then decanted the rest for 1-2 hours. A little sediment in the bottle makes a decant worth your while

The wine is delicious, flat out. It’s got intense raspberry jam notes with pencil shavings and faint floral lift at the back of the nose. Equally intense on the palate, with balanced acidity, and, interestingly enough to me, the body was not particularly viscous. Soft, silky, sweet tannins beckon you to drink now. It’s not like this wine as a lot of resolving to do! It was far more gentle of a wine than I was expecting. Intensely fruited and sweet on the lingering finish but approachable now.

How does that old Marcy Playground song go?

January 20, 2020 - Slow ox for ~8 hours. Incredible nose of leather and sandalwood. On the palette, this just explodes in your mouth, leaving it coated in deliciousness for a good few seconds. Outstanding showing
