  February 2, 2024 - A treat. Disgorged in 2019. This drank the best of 4 bottles thus far, showcasing the Riesling difference in a low dosage wine. Very crisp but not acidic, a golden color, good persistent mousse and an almost full finish. Flavors do not mimic a champagne but rather run toward a slightly tropical yet dry run of fruit from there. Terrific accompaniment to smoked fish.

  January 1, 2023 - For new years day brunch with eggs Benedict. Oxidative notes, and a minerality with round edges. Nice treat and enjoyed by all four of us.

  December 16, 2022 - HDH auction at avec River North (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Immediately identified as a Lauer from the dried longan notes. Thin, high acid, with a somewhat coarser mousse. As with most of my other experiences of this wine, more interesting than good.

  October 7, 2022 - This just felt too old with obvious oxidative notes. No one really enjoyed it and we moved on.
