September 23, 2017 - An excellent and unique Merlot. I have had six of these bottles in my cellar for the past 7 years. They have no lost their appeal. The wine takes a couple of hours to fully reveal its self. It's a dark musty red with a burgandy hue. Strong chocolate and floral scents. Not your typical Merlot. Bold on the pallet more like a cab. Paired this with a succulent lamb biriyani followed with a aged Dutch Reypenaer VSOP cheese for desert. The flavors of both the lamb and cheese were nicely enhanced by this unique Merlot.

January 26, 2016 - Still has lots of life. Took 2 hours open before it fully developed. Tasted good throughout, but the end of the bottle had blueberry, pomegranate. Just a really good wine.

October 4, 2015 - Still alive, smooth and quite quaffable.

December 3, 2014 - Pencil lead on the nose. Plum and tar on the palate. Drying tannins and a long finish.

October 17, 2012 - Drank this with a bit of aeration and 30 minutes in the glass. Lots of fruit including cherry on the nose. It paired well with the grilled venison that I served tonight. My wife and I really enjoyed it as it is different than the typical Merlot in that it had more tannins and fruit but was different enough from a Cabernet. I like the winemaker's style for this varietal.
