September 28, 2023 - Deep purplish ruby red. Dark nose with pencil shavings, blueberries, oolong tea and soil. Full bodied Cabernet with medium plus tannins (7/10) and balanced acidity. Well rounded palate with lush baking spices and ripe black currants, bitter cocoa and dark earthiness. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2034.

February 28, 2021 - Decanted for about 30 minutes for peppercorn filet mignon this was excellent. Full bodied, rich, well balanced. Delicious blue and black fruits, good acidity, soft tannins. One of the top VP Cabs I've had recently.

July 5, 2018 - A standout in the lineup from wines we tried from Va Piano on our recent visit to Walla Walla—Rosebud Vineyard, formerly Rosebud Ranches, as it was known when I sourced fruit from it—brought back fond memories for me as a vintner. Va Piano’s 2015 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon expresses sexy aromatics of red currant, red cherries, incense, menthol, underbrush, and loamy soil. In the mouth, it’s round and medium-bodied, with silky, sueded tannins—so classic for the Wahluke Slope. Texturally,
