November 5, 2019 - Still some brett, charcoal, dark blue fruit but starting to get too much raisin notes. Drink now.

August 13, 2015 - Stellar. PnP at restaurant. Good from the beginning. Great balance between fruit and tannin. Doubt it can get any better. Enjoy with some good asian or mexican food.

May 22, 2010 - Opened & decanted for 1 hour. Dark and brooding with a big black fruit nose- hints of brett. There's plenty of mysterious fruit hiding among the big softened tannins & ample acids; plenty of structure. It's begining to assume second nuances and develop real personality, becoming a food wine (meat). The finish is long and seductive, leaving you wanting more. This wine is massive and will last for years; no hurry to drink. Drank with Loweel in NYC.

June 12, 2009 - Served blind to a weekly group, everyone loved it. almost 3 hour decent, and needed it. really beginning to believe Vince's stuff needs 10 years on it before you start to pop'em. No where near fading.

June 28, 2008 - Decanted for 2 hours before drinking. Although it did develop while decanting I believe it was still somewhat closed, concealing some of what it wil potentially offer. Massive black fruit with minty notes and a long silky finish. The tannins had softened, but at this time I thought the acids were overpowering the fruit a little; time will fix that. The wine is very well structured with plenty of acids to encourage long term cellaring. Thank goodness I still have 11 bottles left; I'll wait a few years before trying again. This is about as good as Petite Sirah gets.
