January 15, 2023 - Early drinking window. Will be more integrated with a few more years.

May 10, 2022 - Had a restaurant decant half the bottle for an hour prior to arrival, which wasn't necessary. Writing this an hour after sitting (and 2 after decanting) there's faint earth, red fruit and berry on the nose. Softer on the palate than I'd expect from Pritchard Hill, but it is a 2nd (and I'm a fan of both Gandona and Melka). Can't find new/old oak %'s or barrel time on their site.

Everything you'd want is here- its just not as concentrated as I'd expect or as found in its Big Brother. Could be intended style as its softer European approach matches the owner. But I'd never guess this as a sibling to Gandona.

Have now switched to undecanted wine from the bottle and I can catch toasted oak, vanilla, tar and crushed stone. Overall there's greater structure and a longer finish, and that finish has a bit of a bite; this is more of what I'd expect from Napa Mtn Fruit.

My reco is to take this as a pop and pour or splash decant before drinking, unless you want a softer finish for pairing.

    Given the decant this was stretching for a 91. If i had PnP'd it'd be a 92+.

February 14, 2022 - First of my six pack. I was inspired by other reviewers to try it a tad on the early side. This wine was running well on all cylinders. Dark blue fruit with prominent violet notes melded beautifully with cedar and spice and some nice mineral notes on the back end. The tannins were prominent, but not harsh. This wine has a good 5-15 year drinking window- my estimation of course!

March 16, 2021 - Comes across jammy at first but opens up to a nice finish after 20 minutes in glass. Jack picked up new French oak from clove taste.
