April 19, 2019 - Decanted for a couple of hours and it was softening nicely. Classic Rioja colouring, reliably familiar soft oak and leather nose. Bags of velvety smooth ripe fruit and a hint of vanilla. Really good, with the joy of a magnum being it just goes on...

January 23, 2019 - A splendid Reserva from the venerable La Rioja Alta. Classic Rioja nose - vanilla, gentle oak, nutmeg, leather. Soft, velvety, sweet and savoury at the same time. Delicious. No doubt will get better and better with age.
