  November 27, 2022 - A big, brawny Pinot, a real smack in the teeth of flavors. We found it a tad sharp, would have rated it higher if it were smoother.

  May 1, 2021 - If you don’t know Bevan’s style, it’s about as unabashedly assertive as Pinot gets. At 5 years age the Petaluma Gap Pinot is perfectly integrated, showcasing the intense, pure fruit.

  February 13, 2021 - Revisit. Dark ruby. Strong aromas of wood stave, violets and apple spice. Thick on the pallete with balanced tannin and acidity. Deep flavors of raspberry, clove and a touch of hibiscus. Long finish. Improved with age.

  December 1, 2020 - It's blasphemy to call this pinot noir. Dense purple-black in the glass, over the top sweet and extracted, drinks like blueberry pancake syrup with a serious alcohol burn on the cloying finish (bottle claims 14.6 but it drinks like 15.6). Added water to my glass to make it palatable and then refused a second pour. Needed a highly acidic Sauv Blanc to detox afterward. Never again, Russell, never again.
