  January 29, 2009 - Not sure if this was over the hill, flawed, or just a really bad wine, but it was barely drinkable. The nose and palate both had a strange peanut note that overpowered everything else. I thought perhaps I was confusing the peanut note with TCA's tell-tale musty signs, but no, it just smelled and tasted like peanuts with a slight hint of raspberry underneath it all. I drank this with pizza and no change in my impressions of the wine. Highly not recommended - even if you could get this wine for free.

  August 2, 2007 - Consistent with last note. Within the expected range for Chinon. Went well with food and not 'vile' (as claimed on eBob) in my book.

  June 19, 2007 - Garnet. Cherries and dust on the nose and light fruit, minerals, refreshing acidity and some tannins on palate. Went remarkably well with pizza. One of those wines that enhance food, but the food does not enhance the wine.
