April 11, 2022 - First bottle after various recommendations. Not what I was expecting but there again I don't know what I was expecting! Super nose and I found the tannins quite integrated and fruit well balanced but there was still a bit of barrel fire and alcohol vapour that needs time to die down and integrate to let the wine sing its true song in harmony.

Next bottle in 2024. The 15s and 16s I have will stay in storage until 2030.

August 15, 2021 - Decanted and left for about 9 hours before tasting. Tannins were quite soft by then. I agree with the others about holding for another 5 years. It should be stunning then.

July 7, 2020 - Very pleasant surprise; Audozed 2 hours, served blind. Traditional brick red center, clear, bright. Aromas, and flavors consistent with traditional (i.e. non-modern) winegrowing, etc. The 14,0% is fully integrated, though the tannins will require a few more years. For my palate, would love to see this beauty in another 5-7 years. 17 different clones of Sangiovese? (something I recall from a trade tasting, too lazy to look it up). Either way, this is easily highly recommended

September 30, 2019 - Had this during our Tuscany trip with friends 9/28 to 10/5 to Villa Montepulciano. We tasted this at the Enoteca La Fortezza Di Montalcino. Line-up included Brunello's from 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010. The 2015 was tasted but will not be released to us till next year.

Rich and layered fruits which present themselves in a fully balanced manner from opened wines which may be from the previous night as they are all so creamy and balanced. Cherry and cassis fruit make this wine so delectable.

Bravo again to our waiter Irald for this line-up.
