July 1, 2021 - Single blind. Good spice and honey intermixed with orchard fruit aromas. Fruit still has life and freshness with nice honeycomb notes. Solid with no upside from here.

July 1, 2021 - Meursault (Southside) 1er Cru vs Village, Mostly Blind (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Single blind in flight. Rich and slightly mature, while on the simple side. The best of a very disappointing mid-aged flight. Some liked it more.

May 28, 2018 - Popped and poured last nite at Saltaire. I've been drinking this wine for the past few years with more or less consistent notes. Still big, luscious and on the oaky side. Tropical fruit, vanilla and wood are all fairly prominently featured here. This wine is no blushing violet in that sense, but is quite big, viscous and oily, with slightly less fruit than I recall. A more deep golden color than I recall, and not quite as nutty, less minerality, and less balanced than I recall. A bad bottle perhaps?

November 19, 2017 - Drank last nite at L'escale. I've had this wine numerous times over the past year and my notes continue to be consistent. Wonderfully fragrant nose of tropical fruit, honey, white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, with plenty of fruit, honeysuckle, and solid acidity. Excellent concentration, and becoming more complex than I recall with the wine now showing nutty elements, more minerality & great intensity. A lovely wine, especially if you like the overt, full-bodied style of this HdB.

September 23, 2017 - Outstanding white Burgundy. Citrus, floral, luscious. Good acid - long finish. Improving with age.
