December 1, 2011 - Décevant. N'avait pas la souplesse que je lui connais. Laissait un goût étrange en bouche. Peut-être est-il trop tard!

December 18, 2007 - Clear dark ruby core of moderate intensity out to a moderate maroon edge with just a hint of browning and a thin watery rim - youthful in appearance but the brown tint suggests fully ripe (over ripe?) grapes. Clean nose of spice, figs, dark Christmas cake, very ripe plums (more like prunes than plums but still fruit driven) and rum/raisin of moderate intensity. Dry with very ripe fruit giving a suggestion of sweetness on the palate This wine has moderate resolved tannins, alcohol (for an Amarone) and acid with a full body. The finish is medium in length with the spiceyness and some brown sugar continuing. Drink now - it's ready to go. Good but not great - however it's nicely balanced and a relative bargain compared to the cost of other Amarones.

December 2, 2006 - Sweet and dense, little bit too much sweet and not enough body and substance.
