February 5, 2020 - young but punchy and impactful. Sweet and malty. Oak comes through in the tannic and peppery finish

August 10, 2018 - Not bad, decent, and different which gives it a purpose and bit higher score even though nothing great here. Lighter, flavorful, honey, vanilla, some sweetness and pleasure can be found, clean yet some oak prevails. Best I can compare this to is a less impressive John Haig Single Grain which I had in Ireland and also surprised me (see TN). But the Haig seems the better QPR ye' shall buy to explore more of; not this Deanston although at a true bargain price. Glad to have tasted and would not pass up a glass offered.
