November 19, 2021 - My first Trevallon blanc. Opened this a few days ago, and I was not displeased, but I was not entirely convinced. Today it is much more interesting. Ripe and opulent, it is not something I would reach for often, but it has its virtues. Aromas of melon, tropical fruit custard, citrus confections, honeysuckle, toasted spice, wild herbs... Thick and oily on the palate, lots of material and fat, decent acidity keeps it fresh enough, but I would usually look for more cut. Long and complex finish, with lots of soft ripe fruit notes accented by nutty, spicy and creamy nuances. Based on its performance 72+ hours after being opened (about half the bottle in the fridge) this should evolve positively for at least a few years.

December 20, 2019 - Lunch de Noël des anciens de C&S 2019: Vin austère, gras, finement texturé, de belle longueur. Complexe et salin en finale. Excellent. Je croyais à un Hermitage. 91-92 pts
